Pet Shop Boys new album, Nonetheless, is now available to pre-order on the audiophile blu-ray format complete with immersive Dolby Atmos Mix and a 96/24 hi-res stereo version.
The album sees Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe work with producer James Ford for the first time. Ford has previously worked with artists including Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, Blur, Gorillaz and Simian Mobile Disco.
Nonetheless features 10 brand new tracks, recorded and mixed in London last year, primarily at James Ford’s studio in East London. The orchestra and backing vocals were recorded at The Church studio in North London.
Speaking about the album, Pet Shop Boys said “We wanted this album to be a celebration of the unique and diverse emotions that make us human. From the more dance-orientated tracks to the raw poignancy of the introspective ballads, with their beautiful string arrangements, each track tells a story and contributes to the overall narrative of the album.”
As well as the Dolby Atmos Mix and the hi-res stereo mix, this special blu-ray release features the video to the first single 'Loneliness' which was directed by Alasdair McLellan.
This blu-ray is region-free.
Nonetheless was released on 26 April 2024 via Parlophone.

This blu-ray audio requires a blu-ray player. Decoding the Dolby Atmos Mix requires a Dolby Atmos certified soundbar or a Dolby Atmos compatible receiver or amplifier, with appropriate speaker set-up. The Dolby Atmos Mix will play on 5.1 systems. It will 'fold down' to 5.1 if an Atmos decoder is not detected and sounds in elements that are unique to Atmos (e.g. 'height' speakers) will get player via other channels.
