Aretha limited 180g green vinyl LP
1986 album• Limited to 2000 units • Numbered • Includes insert • Features 'I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)'
The 1986 self-titled Aretha Franklin album was produced by Narada Michael Walden and delivered three top 30 US hit singles, including the transatlantic number one “I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)” (with George Michael) and a cover of The Rolling Stones' “Jumpin' Jack Flash”.
Aretha herself says in the liner notes that this is one of her favourite albums, and it’s easy to see why. She sings her head off on this album, and sounds like she’s having so much fun on each and every song. The album is noteworthy for the cover, which was Andy Warhol’s final work before his death in early 1987.
Aretha is available as a limited edition of 2000 individually numbered copies on translucent green vinyl and is released on 3 July 2020 by Music On Vinyl.
