Blu-ray Audio (with Atmos, 5.1 & hi-res stereo)

Pink Floyd's classic 1973 album The Dark Side of the Moon is reissued as a standalone blu-ray audio, featuring the spatial audio mixes included in the 2023 super deluxe edition box set from earlier this year.

This blu-ray audio (no video) features the following audio streams: 

  • Dolby Atmos Mix
  • 5.1 Surround Mix (24/96)
  • Remastered Stereo Mix (24/192)

The spatial audio mixes are by James Guthrie.

This is presented in a softpack die-cut gatefold with commemorative postcards, stickers and a 24-page booklet

To enjoy the spatial audio you'll need a blu-ray player connected to an Atmos-compatible soundbar or a Cinema-style amplifier/receiver with Atmos or 5.1 capability, rigged up to a multi-speaker set-up. If you currently have a 5.1 set-up the Atmos Mix will 'fold down' to 5.1.

    This blu-ray audio requires a blu-ray player. Decoding the Dolby Atmos Mix requires a Dolby Atmos certified soundbar or a Dolby Atmos compatible receiver or amplifier, with appropriate speaker set-up. The Dolby Atmos Mix will play on 5.1 systems. It will 'fold down' to 5.1 if an Atmos decoder is not detected and sounds in elements that are unique to Atmos (e.g. 'height' speakers) will get player via other channels.
