Duran Duran reissue their Halloween-themed 2023 album Danse Macabre as an expanded deluxe edition with extra tracks and new formats.

This revamped edition features three new bonus tracks including a new version of the band's 1983 single 'New Moon On Monday' (now called 'New Moon (Dark Phase)), a cover of ELO's 'Evil Woman' and an instrumental called 'Masque Of The Pink Death' (which starts the album). Andy Taylor features on New Moon (Dark Phase) along with most of the rest of the album.

With those extras, the album now becomes a 16-track edition with the other tracks as before, including covers of songs by Siouxsie & The Banshees (Spellbound), Talking Heads (Psycho Killer) and Rick James (Super Freak, which is mashed with Duran's own 'Lonely in Your Nightmare'). The three Duran originals are all excellent: 'Black Moonlight' (featuring Nile Rodgers), 'Danse Macabre' and the Arcadia like 'Confession In The Afterlife'.

We're making just 2000 copies of this (region-free) blu-ray – which will ship with a collectible SDE Surround Series slipcase.

Danse Macabre will be released on 25 October 2024 via SDE Records.

TECHNICAL NOTES: This blu-ray audio requires a blu-ray player. Decoding the Dolby Atmos mix requires a Dolby Atmos-certified soundbar or a Dolby Atmos-compatible AV Receiver/Amp. The Dolby Atmos mix will 'fold down' to 5.1 or stereo if a Dolby Atmos decoder is not detected. This product contains no video.
